Hope or Faith

Election 2008  Faith or Hope.

We are hearing a lot of talk about "Change", "Hope" is not something you can really depend on. Hope is not a word full of action, will not assist you in getting a job done.  "Faith" and action are words that go together. We have all hear that "Faith without action is dead." Well "Faith without action is "HOPE"

I'm not talking about "Faith" that comes from God. I'm talking about the kind of faith that comes from wisdom. "Doing what works"  That "knowing" that someone will do what they say, be there for you because of their past history.

As we get ready to vote, we all want to be sure we are putting the health and welfare and future, of ourselves our parents and children's future into hands that will be able to keep us safe and secure.

I'm not a big fan of "hope".  For me, "hope" is an empty suit. Hope is for the helpless. Americans are not helpless people. Hope ask me to look outside myself for the results I need to create for myself.  I want to have "faith" in the person I will vote for to guide this country and the world in 2008. My faith, and my vote will go to the person I feel has the personal experiences to get the job done.

Here is a test I gave my class. I  Put myself inside a child's mind that was perched in a dangerous place like the roof of a home.

Looking down at the ground I could see two people calling to me saying that I needed to Jump into their arms.

The first person called to me and to you  " Jump, into my arms and  "Hope" that I will catch you."
The second person called to me and to you  " Jump into my arms and have  "Faith" that I will catch you."

Words do make a difference.  Which arms are you going to jump into? Would you jump into the are of "Hope" or the arms of "faith"?
